Data Management & Governance Manager

Job content

  • Design and articulate data governance, data management and data quality within the Group;
  • Define and implement policies and processes related to data governance i.e. around data quality, data profiling, data cleansing, including KPI/ metrics definitions;
  • Develop the data governance setup ensuring roles and responsibilities;
  • Lead the design and implementation of the data catalog and data quality framework and drive the adoption of both within the organization;
  • Plan, execute and oversee remediation efforts via data catalog, systems, processes, and the related projects;
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and maintain data quality goals, standards, metrics, and processes;
  • Work closely with IT data management organization to drive data governance initiatives;
  • Implement automated measures to increase the quality of data and metadata;
  • Produce training materials and train business users in using the data catalog & data quality tools;
  • Understand, explain and interact on complex topics with business and technical teams;
  • Actively support and share knowledge across the extended Data & Analytics team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in data management, data governance in a professional, challenging environment;
  • Proven experience in data governance solutions (cataloging, lineage, MDM) and data integration (e.g., Data Factory, SSIS, Talend, Informatica);
  • Technical knowledge of data profiling, analysis, data cleansing, de-duplication and data quality measurements;
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Finance or Information technology
  • Interest in and strong affinity to technology;
  • First experience in bringing together heterogenous data governance requirements specifically in settings with diverse needs across businesses and organizational units;
  • Knowledge of Private Markets would be a plus;
  • Driven personality with eagerness to solve problems, perform root cause analysis and improve processes;
  • Excellent presentation and communication (orally and written) skills;
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus.
