Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deep-dives on of areas with heightened risk profile, due diligences or thematic or business reviews in the Head Office and legal entities, (partly in coordination with independent internal and external parties).

This includes:

  • Conducting interviews and walkthroughs with subject matter experts
  • Analyzing data from various internal sources;
  • Producing of finding summaries/risk reports; and
  • Defining of remedial actions/strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic/idiosyncratic issues
  • Forward looking risk assessments.

This includes:

  • Performing Group-wide risk assessments and maintaining of a comprehensive risk landscape
  • Performing impact analyses of global trends or “lessons to be learnt” from peer institutions
  • Coordination of crisis management, contingency activities and other risk mitigation activities across different departments
  • Actively contribute to risk reports and management presentations
  • Build strong relationships with subject matter experts and Risk Management functions in the Group’s international locations, develop and share knowledge with other team members

Requirements

  • University degree
  • Broad experience in risk governance, assessment and regulatory investigations
  • A minimum of 5-8 years within management consulting, accounting | law firm, or similar position in a global financial institution
  • Outstanding analytical, project management and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to cut through complexity and present topics in a simplified yet comprehensive manner
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and hands-on personality
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Discrete character with a critical mind-set, comfortable with Senior Management interactions, and challenging the status quo
  • Fluency in German and English, any further language is an advantage

  • The Risk Governance & Assessment function maintains and further develops the Group’s enterprise wide risk management framework and serves as innovative competence centre for specific and emerging risk types.
  • By anticipating risk trends and by connecting thematic and event-driven data points world-wide, the function draws independent risk-based conclusions for the broader organisation, constructively challenges Group’s business activities, and fosters a continued strong risk awareness.
  • The current Head of Risk Governance & Assessment reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer, a member of the Executive Board.
