The following list represents the general responsibilities of an application administrator. Specific responsibilities may differ by application.

Role

  • Plans, installs, and maintains business applications including software upgrades patches, and new releases;
  • Monitors the business applications, document and analyse problems, maintenance activities;
  • Provides 2nd level of technical support for all corporate business applications and software components;
  • Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis;
  • Collaborate with hardware, OS, DBA technical teams to ensure proper integration of the environment;
  • Work closely with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications;
  • Maintains system documentation;
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned;
  • Enable best practices; 
  • Process automation.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows computing environments;
  • Experience with O365 and the Microsoft Azure platform is a plus;
  • Experience with installing, configuring and maintaining small- to mid-sized business systems and applications;
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;
  • Experience with monitoring tools; Including installation, configuration and maintenance of such tools;
  • Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell;
  • Hands on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness;
  • Good communication skills (English must; German would be an advantage);
  • Experience working in the financial industry is plus;
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL would be an advantage.
