Endpoint OS Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our organization as the Manager Endpoint Engineering Services. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing device management, workplace engineering, OS and software deployment, configuration management and endpoint analytics. You will lead a team of experts, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our workplace environment.

Tasks

  • You manage, lead and develop a team of workplace engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support;
  • You establish workplace technology roadmaps, engineering strategy and operating standards;
  • You oversee device management, including provisioning and ongoing maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals;
  • You conduct hardware evaluations and assessments to ensure the selection of reliable and efficient devices that meet the organization's requirements and standards;
  • You drive OS engineering efforts, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compatibility across the organization's devices;
  • You develop and implement effective configuration management (Group Policy, Intune, etc.) to enforce security policies and optimize user experience;
  • You coordinate software and OS deployment activities, ensuring timely and efficient rollout of updates, patches, and new applications;
  • You manage standard software such as M365 Apps for enterprise and other productivity tools, ensuring licensing compliance and smooth integration within the organization;
  • You utilize endpoint analytics tools to monitor and analyze performance, identify trends, and proactively address issues;
  • You manage global printer infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network printers;
  • You ensure that documentation and training is in place for service desk teams;
  • You advocate for automation in workplace engineering processes, identifying opportunities to streamline tasks and improve efficiency through scripting, configuration management, or other automation techniques;
  • You provide second-level support for workplace-related topics, resolving complex technical problems and ensuring excellent customer service;
  • You collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure, UCC, Security, and Service Desk teams to align workplace engineering initiatives with broader organizational goals;
  • You stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in workplace engineering, recommending innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • You have at least 8 years of technical experience implementing, managing and supporting workplace technologies;
  • In the past you could proof your ability to build technology roadmaps and align them with enterprise architecture;
  • You bring in profound knowledge of device management, OS engineering, configuration management, printer management, software and OS deployment, and endpoint analytics;
  • You have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking principles, and security best practices;
  • You are proficient with endpoint management tools, such as Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune;
  • You’re used to troubleshoot. Your problem-solving skills together with your strong ability to analyse complex technical issues helped you to overcome challenges on a daily basis;
  • You have a passion to work hands-on and a willingness to dive into technical challenges;
  • You have mentorship experience and lead by example;
  • You’re tech-savvy and it’s your ambition to stay updated with the latest technology trends, tools and industry best practices;
  • Your strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels stand out;
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, German is considered as a plus.
