Our Private Market Operations team is looking for an experienced leader to head the Legal Operations functions.

Role

• As Head Legal Operations for Private Markets you will oversee the teams looking after regulatory topics and board operations of our investment entities, investor onboarding, investment execution and fund tax operations;
• You will report to one of the Head(s) of Private Markets Operations;
• Besides overseeing the teams, you are active in daily delivery wherever needed to ensure the high quality output of our legal operations.
• You lead selected projects and maintain relations with/monitor our key service providers and external board members;
• Based on your hands-on and deep experience you understand the details of fund operations. You easily switch from the day-to-day tasks and overseeing the teams to the tactical or strategic level, helping to further develop and change the operating model;
• You are involved in IT projects, where you actively represent the operations teams in process mapping and re-engineering, reviewing business requirements and supporting wherever needed.

Requirements

• You bring in 15+ years of experience with highly dynamic, professional environments, with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in a legal and/or compliance role in the fund industry, preferably in Private Markets (i.e. at a GP or fund-of-funds). If you also bring some tax experience it is considered a plus;
• You are passionate about leadership, managing complex projects and support change;
• You have experience with simplifying, automating and digitizing of operational processes;
• You have a sound understanding and practical applicability of EU/US regulations applicable to funds;
• You’re fluent in English as well as in German;
• You can deliver solutions in a fast moving environment on the basis of a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, a flexible mindset and a high degree of adaptability;
• With your player-coach mentality you like working collaboratively and drive initiatives at various levels of the organization;
• You would describe yourself as a self-starter, who takes ownership and represents the interests of the department in the wider organization.

Location: Freienbach area, Switzerland (Nearby Zurich) + occasional travel within Europe
