ESG Analyst

Our Private Markets ESG team is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurially thinking Analyst to join the team. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of ESG integration across our private markets business and liaise with several internal functions as well as external stakeholders.

Role

  • Perform ESG and impact assessments of private market investments, with a focus on private equity co-investments and managers;
  • Contribute to monitoring of ESG and impact performance of private market portfolios, incl. data collection, quality assessment, and data management;
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual ESG and impact reporting;
  • Respond to client requests with ESG- and impact-related information and data;
  • Engage with private equity managers on ESG and impact topics;
  • Contribute to implementing regulatory requirements and further developing ESG and impact best practices;
  • Contribute to further automating processes, particularly around data collection and analysis.

Requirements

  • Degree from a reputable university or university of applied sciences, ideally with a background in a sustainability-related field (e.g., sustainable finance, sustainability consulting);
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in ESG is desirable;
  • Proven experience in data analysis, ideally in ESG data analysis;
  • Proficient written and verbal English language skills;
  • Self-starter personality with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team;
  • Fast learner with strong analytical abilities;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as strong communication skills;
  • Ability to interact confidently and professionally with colleagues, client, and other industry professionals.

Location: Freienbach area, Switzerland (Approx. 35 minutes from Zurich)
