Finance Apps Manager

As a member of the IT application management team, you will be responsible for business applications, their processes and interfaces with a focus on Finance / Procurement applications to continuously develop and operate our platform in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the 1st point of contact for business stakeholders and be hands-on sparring partner for Finance applications like Abacus, Hyperion, Calculo within IT;
  • Drive further development of our Finance applications together with internal and external partners by identifying, evaluating and specifying new requirements as well as prioritization and coordination of implementation;
  • Manage the definition, specification and implementation of integration requirements;
  • Play an active role in upcoming projects for new applications (e.g. expense management tool, Purchase-to-
  • Pay platform) by managing/coordinating all IT-related topics;
  • Manage and steer together with the business owners the demand process impacting our Finance applications;
  • Establish and refine operations processes like incident management, backup, system performance monitoring etc. existing and new Finance / Procurement applications together with vendors and IT teams involved;
  • Plan and coordinate testing of additional features and new product releases;
  • Organize and hold training for Finance applications in collaboration with external vendors and business product owners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree or equivalent higher education in Information Technology, Data Engineering or Business Informatics;
  • 5+ years working experience in managing and supporting applications in a complex environment;
  • Knowledge of managing Finance / Procurement applications, especially Abacus and Hyperion;
  • Project management experience incl. dealing with different stakeholders in business and IT;
  • Service-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a high sense of responsibility;
  • Independent, pragmatic, highly structured and goal-oriented working style with the ability to understand business and technical functions/processes quickly;
  • Good communication skills in English and German.
